Captain Sandy captured our attention as the first female superyacht captain on Bravo’s Below Deck Mediterranean, and her fascinating stories hold leadership lessons for todays live and virtual audiences.

Through 30+ years of international maritime experience, Sandy has broken glass ceilings, survived near-fatal accidents on land and pirates and fires at sea.

Most business leaders will never have such life-or-death challenges in their daily work. But surviving stormy seas has taught Captain Sandy many invaluable lessons on such timeless leadership principles as inspiring your crew, that failure is ok, and empowering your team to accomplish their “win” together “in the same boat.”

Captain Rob is a North Florida native and grew up on the surrounding waters. He spent the past three decades serving the residents of the City of Jacksonville with the Jaksonville Sheriffs Office. During that period of service, he was able to foster relationships and cultivate a real feel for the pulse of the city.

Captain Rob furthered his love of being on the water through obtaining his USCG Masters license and began transporting yachts up and down the east coast and the Bahamas. This interaction with vessel owners motivated him to pursue providing personal captain services for vessel owners all over the country.

Captain Sandy and Captain Rob were introduced by local entrepeneur and boating enthusiast, Lisa the "Boatanista". Together, in collaboration, put into motion a service to match the City of Jacksonville's current movement to better the riverfront and offer residents and visitors an outstanding experience on Jacksonville's most precious resource, the St. Johns River.
